Stuttering Social Groups
Date: Wednesday, Sep. 13 (Ages 6-10) or Wednesday, Sep. 27 (Ages 11-15)
Time: 6:45–7:45 pm
Location: SLP Riley Clinic
These groups are all about socializing, normalizing, and celebrating the uniqueness of each individual! We will play games, share stories, and enjoy connecting with new peers. We will also be joined by a fellow person who stutters, Sophie — you can read more about her bio here:
Sophie is a person who stutters, a children’s book author, and an advocate for those with communication needs. She recently received her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Sophie is an active member of the stuttering community and facilitates Kids’ Groups through Friends: The National Association of Young People who Stutter. As a person who stutters, Sophie enjoys sharing her journey to support people who stutter and their families.
